# REPUTATION.md starters

Four REPUTATION.md starters, each a complete file: rules (weights, half-life, review interval, tiers and spend limits) tuned for one kind of dealing, why each number was chosen, and a few made-up example records under reserved .example names. Save one as REPUTATION.md, delete the example records (or take the empty copy from the reputation_starter tool), and keep the rules the person agrees to. Scores from them are arithmetic on your own record, never a rating of anyone.

- [Buying from stores](https://reputation.md/starters/buying-from-stores.md): Your agent places frequent, small orders with online stores and records one event per order. Rules: half-life 60 days, 3 events to count, review every 30 days, tiers 75 / 50 / 30, spend 300 / 80 per task.
- [Hiring agent services](https://reputation.md/starters/hiring-agent-services.md): Your agent hands tasks to other agents or agent services (translation, research, bookings, reviews) and records one event per task. Rules: half-life 45 days, 5 events to count, review every 14 days, tiers 80 / 60 / 35, spend 150 / 30 per task.
- [Data and API providers](https://reputation.md/starters/data-and-api-providers.md): Your agent pays for data feeds or APIs and records one event per period or batch it checks (a day, a week, a delivery of data), not one per call. Rules: half-life 30 days, 8 events to count, review every 14 days, tiers 75 / 55 / 30, spend 50 / 10 per task.
- [Contractors](https://reputation.md/starters/contractors.md): Your agent deals with firms or people paid for larger jobs in stages (repairs, builds, design work) and records one event per stage or invoice. Rules: half-life 180 days, 2 events to count, review every 60 days, tiers 75 / 50 / 25, spend 1000 / 250 per task.
